Wine Word of the Week: Vintner

This week’s Wine Word of the Week is vintner.
Official definition from Jancis Robinson’s The Oxford Companion to Wine:
Vintner is the late Middle English word for wine merchant which superseded vinter. ….
The word has also come to be used for a wine producer as well as a wine merchant, particularly in North America.
Layman’s terms from Kori:
A vintner is someone who makes or sells wine.
